Average Joe by Troy Meeder is truly an enjoyable read.  Troy’s emphasis on ‘Average Joes’ being everywhere will cause you to think about the Average Joes in your own life.  You end up inspired and grateful for these great men that surround you.

Troy has an uncanny ability to relate everyday experiences to spiritual lessons.  Whether it is flying a Cessna, training a horse or fishing for Steelhead, Troy is able to draw principles out of life and relate them to our relationship with God in a way that makes you want to look for God everywhere.

Rich imagery fills this book.  Troy has a way of painting a scene so beautifully that you feel you are with him.  While reading this book, I marveled at the beauty of creation on a trail in the mountains, felt my gut twist and turn while riding in an airplane, and felt the breath of horse’s snort in a pen – all while sitting in my home, reading a book.

I was drawn in by the Average Joe concept.  Admittedly, I found myself resonating with the Average Joes from the book and sensed a deep desire to embrace my ‘Average Joe-ness.’  This book is worth the time to read .  Enjoy the adventure!
