Dug Down Deep By Joshua Harris is an exceptional work, covering the essential theological elements of Christianity.  It is a refreshing alternative to most systematic theology books that tend to be overly-academic and dry.  This book is lively, exciting and very easy to read and understand.  Harris provides a nice balance between an academic work and a ‘theology for dummies’ type of book.

In my opinion, Chapter 8 on sanctification is worth the price of the entire book.  Harris’ down-to-earth style of writing makes deep theology accessible to anyone.  His personal stories only serve to enhance the relevance and enjoyment of reading this book.

Finally, accurate theology is no longer only found in the realm of academicians, professors and pastors.  Anyone, including brand new believers, could pick the book up and find relevant information for their lives.
