Book Review – More Lost Than Found
More Lost Than Found by Jared Herd is a decent read that opens up your eyes to the plight of a younger generation of believers who have struggled with identifying what Christianity is truly intended to be. For so long, cultural ideas of Christianity have slowly replaced all that Jesus truly desired for His followers to be and do. Jared Herd does well at introducing us to the issues and offering help along the way. In terms of the quality of the book, I'll be honest, it left much to be desired. I would read a little bit of...

Whether you agree or not with the politics of the whole Occupy Wall Street thing, there is a truth about it that we must all acknowledge – it is driven by arrogance. Dug Down Deep By Joshua Harris is an exceptional work, covering the essential theological elements of Christianity. It is a refreshing alternative to most systematic theology books that tend to be overly-academic and dry. This book is lively, exciting and very easy to read and understand. Harris provides a nice balance between an academic work and a ‘theology for dummies’ type of book. In my opinion, Chapter 8 on sanctification is worth the price of the entire book. Harris’ down-to-earth...

Waking Hours by Lis Wiehl and Pete Nelson is a fantastic read, combining murder, intrigue, romance and faith. This is the first book I have read by Lis and I enjoyed it immensely. Most of the time she had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out the identity of the killer and what will happen next. This book fits in the classic definition of ‘page-turner.’ Once I would pick up my Kindle to read it, I found myself reading long past the amount of the time I had planned. I just...
